The pneumatic knife gate valve is operated using compressed air. This valve utilizes a pneumatic actuator to control the opening and closing mechanism. It consists of two main components: the upper section, which is the pneumatic actuator, and the lower section, which is the valve itself. For optimal performance, the pneumatic knife gate valve should be installed horizontally within the pipeline. The gate serves as the opening and closing element, moving perpendicular to the fluid flow direction. Unlike manual knife gate valves, which must be either fully open or fully closed and cannot be used for flow regulation or throttling.

The pneumatic knife gate valve offers several benefits including a simple and compact structure, well-thought-out design, material efficiency, reliable sealing, and smooth, flexible operation. Its small size, smooth flow channel, low flow resistance, and lightweight make it easy to install and disassemble. It operates effectively under pressures ranging from 1.0 MPa to 2.5 MPa and temperatures between -29°C and 650°C. The valve’s gate has a shearing function, capable of scraping off adhesives on the sealing surface and automatically removing debris. Additionally, the stainless steel gate valve prevents seal leakage due to corrosion.
