What is a valve?
Valve is a fluid pipeline control device, its basic function is to connect or cut off the flow of pipeline media, change the flow of media, change the direction of flow of media, adjust the pressure and flow of media, to protect the normal operation of pipeline equipment.
General classification of valves
The most commonly used international classification of valves are generally divided into: ball valves, butterfly valves, control valves, gate valves, globe valves, plug valves, diaphragm valves, check valves, throttle valves, safety valves, pressure reducing valves, traps. This classification method is in accordance with the principle, role and structure of the division.

Globe valve

Check valve
The role of the check valve is to allow the medium to flow in one direction only, and prevent the direction of flow. Usually this valve is automatic, in a direction of flow of fluid pressure, valve open; fluid flow in the opposite direction, by the fluid pressure and the self-weight of the valve flap valve on the valve seat, thus cutting off the flow. Check valves include swing check valves and lift check valves.
Butterfly valve
Butterfly valve’s butterfly plate is installed in the direction of the diameter of the pipeline. In the cylindrical channel of the butterfly valve body, the disc-shaped butterfly plate rotates around the axis, and the rotation angle is between 0° and 90°, and the valve is fully open when rotated to 90°. Butterfly valve is simple in structure, small in size, light in weight and consists of only a few parts. And it only needs to rotate 90° to open and close quickly, easy to operate.

Ball valves and plug valves work on the same principle, both rely on rotating the spool to make the valve open or close. The spool of the ball valve is a ball with a hole, when the center axis of the hole and the center axis of the valve inlet and outlet coincide, the valve is open; when the ball is rotated 90 °, so that the center axis of the hole and the center axis of the valve inlet and outlet perpendicular to the valve, the valve is closed. The main feature of the ball valve is its own compact structure, easy to operate and maintain, suitable for water, solvents, acids and natural gas and other general working media, but also for harsh working conditions of the media.
Diaphragm valve
Diaphragm valve is a flexible diaphragm connected to the compression member, the compression member operated by the valve stem up and down, when the compression member rises, the diaphragm will be held high, the formation of access; when the compression member falls, the diaphragm will be pressed on the valve body, the valve is closed. This valve is suitable for opening and closing, throttling. Diaphragm valve is especially suitable for transporting corrosive, viscous fluids, and the valve’s operating mechanism is not exposed to the transport fluid, so it will not be contaminated, and does not require packing, stem packing part will not leak.
